Welcome to TechGyver Computer Repair & Home Service (“TechGyver,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our website, products, and technical services including computer repair, maintenance, diagnostics, home service, and related support.

By requesting, purchasing, or using any of TechGyver’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should refrain from using our services.

1. Service Overview

TechGyver provides a range of services including, but not limited to:

  • Computer and laptop repair

  • Hardware installation and upgrades

  • Data recovery and backup

  • Virus and malware removal

  • Network setup and configuration

  • Custom PC builds

  • Remote and home-based computer support

Services may be performed in-shop, on-site, or remotely depending on the customer’s request and service availability.

2. Service Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent.

  • Be the legitimate owner or authorized representative of the device submitted for repair or service.

  • Provide accurate and complete information necessary for service completion.

TechGyver reserves the right to refuse service if ownership or authorization cannot be verified, or if the requested service involves illegal or unethical activities (e.g., software piracy or data tampering).

3. Service Requests and Authorization

By submitting a device or booking a service, you:

  • Authorize TechGyver to perform diagnostics, repair, or maintenance work on your device.

  • Acknowledge that the repair process may involve temporary data access and that certain repairs carry inherent risk.

  • Understand that diagnostics may reveal additional issues not initially apparent, which could affect service cost and turnaround time.

TechGyver will always seek your approval before proceeding with any additional repair or cost not covered in the original estimate.

4. Estimates and Fees

All price estimates are based on initial assessments and may change after a full diagnostic evaluation.

  • Any changes in pricing or service scope will be communicated before work continues.

  • Service fees are due upon completion, unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • A diagnostic fee may apply for inspection or testing, even if you choose not to proceed with the repair.

  • Unpaid balances may result in withholding of the device until payment is made in full.

5. Turnaround Time

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on the nature of the repair, parts availability, or technical complexity. TechGyver will make every reasonable effort to complete services promptly, but we do not guarantee specific completion dates or times.

6. Parts and Components

TechGyver may use new, used, refurbished, or OEM-equivalent replacement parts based on availability and customer preference.

  • Customers will be informed of part options and pricing before installation.

  • Manufacturer warranties on third-party parts may apply separately.

  • TechGyver is not responsible for manufacturer defects or supply delays caused by third-party vendors.

7. Data and Backup Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up all important data before any repair or service.
TechGyver is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or system failure that may occur during diagnostics, repair, or reinstallation processes.

If you require data backup or recovery, please request this service separately before repair begins.

8. Warranty and Returns

TechGyver offers a limited service warranty for specific repairs and installed parts, as indicated on the official service receipt.
Warranty coverage does not include:

  • Physical damage, liquid exposure, or electrical surge after service

  • Software issues, malware reinfection, or user negligence

  • Third-party interference, tampering, or unauthorized repair after service completion

Warranty claims must be submitted with the original receipt and within the stated warranty period.

9. Home Service and On-Site Work

For home or on-site repairs:

  • The customer must ensure a safe, clean, and accessible work environment.

  • TechGyver is not liable for property damage, electrical issues, or network problems outside the technician’s control.

  • Appointment schedules are subject to change due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

If the technician arrives and the client is unavailable or unprepared, a service call fee may still apply.

10. Payment Terms
  • All payments must be made in full upon completion of service, unless prior arrangements have been made.

  • Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or approved digital wallets.

  • Late or dishonored payments may incur additional fees.

Devices left unpaid or unclaimed after 60 days from service completion may be considered abandoned and disposed of to recover costs, in accordance with applicable laws.

11. Software Licensing and Legality

TechGyver strictly adheres to copyright and intellectual property laws.

  • We do not install, sell, or activate unlicensed or pirated software.

  • Customers must provide valid license keys or proof of ownership for any proprietary software installation.

  • TechGyver is not responsible for software legality issues resulting from customer-provided programs.

12. Limitation of Liability

TechGyver’s total liability for any service, product, or device is limited to the amount paid by the customer for that specific service.

We are not liable for:

  • Loss of data, business, profits, or use of the device

  • Damage caused by pre-existing defects or conditions

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

All services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind beyond those expressly stated in writing.

13. Privacy and Data Handling

TechGyver respects your privacy and handles your personal data responsibly, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information collected during service is used only for legitimate business purposes such as billing, service updates, and recordkeeping.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law or authorized service partners.

14. Device Storage and Abandonment Policy

Devices not claimed within 60 days after service completion or notification may be considered abandoned.
Abandoned items may be sold, recycled, or disposed of without further notice to recover storage or repair costs. TechGyver is not liable for any loss or damage once a device is deemed abandoned.

15. Service Refusal

TechGyver reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Suspicious or fraudulent behavior

  • Safety concerns for staff

  • Requests involving illegal or unethical actions (e.g., data hacking or unauthorized access)

16. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be handled in the appropriate courts within Cebu City, Philippines.

17. Amendments and Updates

TechGyver reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will take effect immediately upon posting on our website or other official channels. Customers are encouraged to review this document regularly for the most current version.
